Weather- Sunny, mid to high 60's
Clothing - Black running shorts, Short sleeve tech shirt (Rockstar shirt), fuel belt,
Nutrition - Ate nothing before. During the run: (1) 8 oz water, (1) 8 oz powerade
Route - Ox Road at the Lee Chapel Road intersection, went 3 miles towards Occoquan and then turned around and went back to starting point.
Distance Completed: 6 miles
Time: Started at 6:00am, took 1 hr, 8 minutes
J.W. and I met at 6:00am to get the run completed before the heat kicked in. The temperature was fine, but on the way back for the last 3 miles, the humidity started to cause problems. Ugh! I guess when we go longer distances, we'll have to start even earlier.
Last week when we did the 6 miles, it took us 1 hr, 12 minutes, this week it took only 1 hr, 8 minutes. Yowzer! We managed to shave 4 minutes off our time. Pretty cool.
Anything I'd do different? No. Glad it is done. I hate the heat. :)
Mid-week runs - ran 5 miles on Tuesday, ran 4 miles on Thursday; both on the treadmill at the gym. It was good.
